I don't trust anybody. Especially in the woods
had to stands that had the bottom half of the ladders stolen this past fall in green swamp. during quota hunts no less. Used the stands to take my nieces out the last couple yrs in diff spots. And i never put up in a wma in the off season, when there is even less human activity because that is just asking to get it stolen. poaachers that poach wmas dont care whos stand it is, and need to sell the scrap to get that meth fix. Even private property is risky. lock it up tighter than a bulls a*# sewed up with a log chain to have a snowballs chance.
Not supposed to put stands up till the week before, and in some wma's, the day before. If stands are out this early there is a good chance they will be gone. And it may be FWC taking them down
Remember stands and cameras cant be put in the wood till the day before the season. So i would not brag about putting them out. Went over this with my friend at the FWC. Cameras are hunting equipment.
Most all of us puts cameras out mid summer to scout an area.A warden would have to be a prick to write someone on that!
