Archery ends this week for Zone B. I have been hunting three Lakes. This isthe first season i have really hunted. I have been 1-2 times a week since opening day. I did not kill anything this year. Had a bunch of oppertunities that didn't work out. But I learned a WHOLE lot, about hunting in general, and more specificly about Public hunting in FL. Although nothing died at my hands I consider this archery zone b season a sucess. Now to move closer to home. Switching over to greenswamp...(i have my mind made up to make my first kill an Archery kill.) I am excited about a new place to hunt, but a bit intimmidated as the terrain is much different from three lakes. Good Luck to everyone in B slingin arrows this weekend!
gate for the swamp was closed when i went by on sunday can you give an update on the water levels in the swamp and possibly the camp site ? thanks . i think my stand locations from last fall will be under water.
Zone B opens this weekend,finally.
looking forward to getting out in green swamp myself, however not sure how dry i will stay. i was out in upper hillsborough a few weeks back, and it was pretty soupy. with all the rain we have had since then, i am sure the swamp is just as bad and probably worse. trying to decide if i should make the trip or wait till it dries up a bit. let us know what you see and good luck.
My buddy was out there last week. Said he couldn't even get to his normal spot due to all the water. Def bring the waders. @30.06 your in Dover right? Me too. Only a short 45 min drive. And it's opening weekend!
