Ok so were and who is getting all the permits? In the days of gamming there were permits left all over the place. Permits hunters did not even care about. Now there is very few places that have permits left. I do know this permit use in my area is down same number of hunter getting in but now there budded up.
I agree. I just looked to see what is left for round 2 for bow n m/l hunts and there aint squat. Then you got assholes like a friend of mine who doesn't even own a muzzleloader and never will own one, and applied for m/l hunts every year "because he can"
The dang system is broke. And if these clowns in office can't fix it,t hen get the hell out and get someone in who can. Very discouraged right now that I just renewed my license for $100 and the FWC basically gives me the middle finger. Can't keep a fish w/o a lawyer with you and now I can't get even a crappy qouta for a bow or m/l hunt

I understand and share your fustrations. Another forum I am on, a member got a GG hunt I applied for and wasn't awarded. Then he posts saying he got the hunt but it wasn't the one he wanted cause he has to work those days. Pissed me off!
I also think that a lot of the problem is this economy. People don't have the money to join a hunt clubs and I think they are starting to turn to public land. JMO.
Between me and the wife we got 1st Arbuckle archery and muzz, also got Baird 3rd archery (week long) and 2nd gen gun. Out of 6 of my hunting friends/family who applied for Baird, the wife is the only one to get drawn for it.
I think with the tough economy, less and less guys are out of state hunting and more and more guys are hunting closer to home, like at WMA's. That might be a reason why guys are wondering where all the permits are...
Its been along time since I done the quota thing, so what are the rules can you take some one with you or can you trade?
