Since I had all the stuff out, I made up 4# of breakfast sausage links with the leftover meat I had. This is my first time using collagen casings. I tried to twist them but the twists absolutely would not stay like they do with fresh casings. So I had to tie every link with butchers twine

That twine is a great idea. I had the same problem with the bourbon snack stick version. The casing twists would not hold. They kept twisting.

Good to see your son is keeping you out of trouble. Those dogs and sausages look great!

STOP IT even! Want2hunt I've been looking on ebay, and every other place for a meat grinder/sausage stuffer. The big time problem I always want the bigger the better. I could get just a stuffer but then again, what if I have left over cubed. (I'll need to grind it) If I can feed it I want something that will grind it. I don't want to strip a gear or burn a moter. But yet I don't want to be burnt by some look good deal.

That's just not right. I'm supposed to grill bratwursts and hotdogs for a birthday party this weekend. I WAS looking forward to it. Now I think I'll just remember those dogs and pout the entire time.

It is possible that I may lay down and kick my feet too if the feeling moves me.
