or 1 long stake and both dekes on it the jake on top.

In my opinion thats not very natural looking. A gobbler breeding a hen doesnt take very long,but he will strut and posture for her for a while. I would do like Iluv2hunt said. I just take a hen and make a divet in the ground and set her there without a stake and set the jake up somewhere next to her.

I know turkeys have incredible vision and keen instincts but not sure about brain power,do they have any conception of time? can they think, gee they been doing it a long time? like in the Jeimiah Johnson movie when Mtn Man says "mule deer don't know how many legs a horse has pilgram" as for the movement issue the wind was made to order, just enough to keep the dekes constantly moving but not spinning. but will give it a go without dekes tommorow hopefully, and see what happens.
