how do you miss at 20 yds, EASY, bird moves at last second, excitement/holding gun for a long time at ready with muscles shaking, eyes are blurry from being tired (getting up at 4am) or full of pollen, shot pulled to one side or another, or actualy didn't miss, shot just didn't penetrate or hit anything vital enough to drop the bird instantly ( could have died later ), plus the head/neck is not a very large target. but it's NEVER happened to me LOL.

congrats. what kind of shotgun is that it looks a lot like mine, but I have a bead only sight. .

It's a Stoeger M2000 made by Benelli and it came with two barrels , and 2 buttstocks ( regular , and pistolgrip ) . A 22" turkey barrel with a piccatiny rail on top and a 28" regular barrel .

it looks just like my benelli sbe but I never saw a cantilever rail on a smoothbore, just rifled bbl's. and how do you like that aftermarket choke (whatever kind it is)? great gun combo and sight. I had to pay thru the nose for the pistol grip stock and rifled slug bbl from benelli.

Way to go on the bird. I shot a bird this weekend on a WMA, and nearlly missed at 30ft. Had to swing the gun up quick, and let some lead fly. The bird only caught 7, or 8 pellets to the neck. With that turkey choke having such a tight pattern most of the lead flew right by him. My uncle took a nice 1 in Ocala this weekend also. Seems like it was a good weekend for a turkey shoot. His bird had a 10 3/4 beard, and 1 7/8 daggers. My birds nuts had not dropped yet just a jake. Congrats on a nice one.
