I AM PUMPED. went out this eve to put em to bed, only heard 1 gobble far away at dusk 7:35 started walking back out and at 7:40 came near a field with at least 20 turkeys in it. none over 30 yds away mostly hens and jakes 1 larger tom. couldn't see them all at the same time . had 1 hen come into the woods to check me out she got within 20 feet and just walked away as I stood totaly still. I've never been so close to so many and not spook them. they must have a calender and know they are still safe for at least another day. at about 7:45 they started flying up to roost, which I thought was a little late.

Went scouting in geothe wma the past few couple weekends, Seen a few birds. Lots of horse traffic. Have to get way of the trails to get away from them. I Will be in there the first 7 days. Good luck to everyone!
Tried to roost some last night but it was quiet. Got out there this morning and had 5 located pretty quick. They were hammering it pretty good. Gonna put out a blind shortly. Breakfast at wafflehouse 1st for some loaded hashbrowns. :rockon
after eating that stuff with vegeline oil or whatever they use, be sure to bring plenty of T.P. with you lol. and do everyone a favor and bury it.
