I got what i wanted.
places i turkey hunt dont require quotas :toast
i have yet to apply for a spring turkey quota. always take a few birds each year on those WMAs
Once again I took it up the :ahole from FWC. Two years in a row I have got nothing! Now I will just have to call them across the fence!
Unless you are trying for one of the super hard to draw areas with low permit numbers you should draw if you have a rejection point. What place you been putting in for? The place I get every year only has 15 spots and I have drawn the first hunt the last 6 years since it has opened. Something is wrong if you had a rejection and did not get drawn for one of your spots. Please list your choices so I can look and see how many quotas are gven for each hunt
There are two seasons for the place I put in, 20 permits for each. I had a preference point for this year s now I guess I have two for next. It is really no big deal, it just makes it harder because I have to call them all the way across a pasture and across a fence. I have been watching these birds all deer season. Usually some moron will go in their opening morning and blows them out anyway, trying to save our private land birds for clients this year since we lost one of our better places but it ain't nothing but a thing, just tired of FWC and their chronies BS.
I'm with you their! FWC don't have a clue how to run state hunting lands. They are behind every other state I hunt each year. I take it you been trying to get Dinner Island for spring turkey. I use to put in for it but that was cause it starts before our season in the central region. Need to find me some state land in the southern region to give me some more ops in florida before I have to go to my other obligations out of state for my filming each year.
I drew a Croom I think the first hunt. 1 of 10. Anyone ever turkey hunt in there?

You are lucky my man. If you can go on a weekday I will sit back and call for you. I know where the birds be in there
