My plan is to not get shot again this year like I did last year :pirate
Gonna hunt Big Cypress and my lease in Perry. I've got some good spots in the cypress where the birds have been for the last 6 months so I hope they'll still be around in March. I've got some birds on the lease and know of 3 different roosting spots so hopefully I'll be able to get my 1st bird this season. :rockon
Never actually killed a bird. SHot one with a bow once that took of running and hit one and rolled it with a shotgun and it got up and flew off.I'm hoping to start turkey hunting again this year,I've been coaching baseball for the last 7 or 8 years and it takes a lot of time. My club is full of them and I have a Croom permit. I'm hoping Allen will give me a hand calling them and I finally have my 3 " mag all finished.
looking forward to it. I need to go up there later in small game and do some recon :rambo
LAst year I could hear one gobbling every morn behind my house, and I haven't seen her for a few years but I had a hen come up in my yard for 3 years in a row. Never seen any chicks with her though, figured there was no toms around to breed her. I did see a nice tom in my road last year closer to 5o. There are some close to the house. My kid came in the other day and wanted to know if deer are still open behind the house,I said on the 10 acres we can still shoot them. He seen a couple walking back from the bus stop. I bet I can get a bunch of them coming up again with some golden acorns.
