I ordered this little box from Toby Benoit. He hand makes and tunes each and every call. This is a high pitch-long range call by design, but you can get it down soft with clucks and purrs also
Will be a nice piece to my collection. I don't carry box calls too much anymore, but this one just might find a spot in my vest this spring

Sweet looking call and Toby is a good guy. I went to high school with him.

box calls are probly my fav, due to their loudness if needed and wide variety of sounds, rich tones,ease of use, just fragile when sat on too many times. if you don't think he'd mind pm me his info, mines way past due for replacement and held together with jb-weld. what type of wood is that?
