My buddy told me all the turkey hunters were asked to leave the Lake Pan WMA because of a fugitive at large. It looks like the state will not refund their money but are offering to put all the hunters on the next hunt where there's only small quota as it is. I think the state should man up and give these guys their money back.
They chased a bunch of dudes with guns, most of which actually know how to use them, out of the woods because a bad guy was in there? 🙄 Why didn't they just give them a photo so they could :2guns on site?
Now, ur thinkin that the gov't would think to use common sense. Bunch a guys armed with shotguns and one dork with a pistol and no shirt. All they'd had to do is just wait him out. The skeeters would a been fed (which would keep em away from the hunters), and then, when they find the dude (#2 holes in em or not), they can say he died of "natural causes" ("Naturally, he would be shot by some law abiding citizen).
