I went out yesterday to a WMA and listened for gobblers. Did not hear any gobbling. :rockon
Glad they are not gobbling yet, as I hope they will be hot and heavy for the opener. I did hear a hen yelping really loud about 20 minutes after first light and there were no responses. Also, driving to my lease 3 times in 3 days getting our stuff out, I saw well over a hundred turkeys on US19 out in big fields. Gobblers were still grouped together and with big groups of hens. No strutters. I expect them to get silly here in the next couple weeks and start making some noise. I've got a guy with a real expensive camera who wants to film a turkey hunt, so I got to get my game on here real soon and figure these birds out

I noticed the same thing out in the cow pastures. Gobblers are still in their bachelor groups :toast
