What kind of effect will this wet weather have on hogs?
Will they travel more/further when wet?
Will I see them more during the day instead of just at dawn and dusk?
Will they seek out wet areas or look for dry areas?
What should I do to find them now that wet season has arrived?
Well, the wet season is at least 2 months out. It "unofficially" starts mid June. Rain seems to get everything in the woods moving a little better

Hogs are a serious addiction for me, a great animal to hunt.
Water is the key thing in their lives. In an area with limited water they will travel consistent paths to it each day. There will be a core group that stays closer to the water all the time and satellite hogs that travel in to it.
As the wet season hits they will be seen out much more, though I am surprised they don't seem to like standing in the rain.
When there is good consistent rain they spread out a lot, paths become random, at that point look for the best food sources to find them.
I do satellite image scouting before hand and then hit the ground looking for sign.
If you want to pm me with more details of the area , maybe I can help.
I am hoping that this rain event is going to have the hogs moving down on my place. Been so dry , my pics have dropped to almost no hogs. Lots of deer and turkeys, but no hogs. Haven't seen any in just over two weeks.
According to 2 weather stations within 3 miles of my property we got about 2.75" rain in past 3 days.
I can't wait to get back out there to see how it has effected hogs behavior.
