how much does processing usually cost?
Kinda depends on the processor and what you have done. I always do my own processing, but last year was the first year I ever used a processor. Only reason I did is because every time I killed something last year, it was 2 animals on the same weekend and I was hunting every weekend.
You are looking at anywhere from $40-$70 dollars to get an animal done.
They charge $50 per hog at Hopkins Meats in Sanford. I haven't heard of the outfitter though.
$60 per hog at Baker's Meats in Oxford...the best sausage in the state by my opinion!
