Just curious to see if any of you all ever used any of this scent? we are going back to a deer lease were they want the hogs gone. They are going to sour corn and start to put it out about a week before we come back, but we were discussing the sow in heat scent to spread around and whether it would work. We hit the hogs last weekend and their are not as many sightings this week, so they just moved next door until they get after them and then they will be back. And we only caught one boar hog and the only other one I know that we got on, swam the creek, which is strange for everything else we caught were sows or gilts. But do you all think it would bring them in to the property and if so, how much in advance do you put it out?

I have used it before with some positive results but I will say I had as good or better just using pure grape oil, anise and a few other scents or foods.

How did you use them? I have only hog hunted with dogs, so chumming them up is new to me.

I have used it from Razorback outfitters. I killed my biggest boar with it. I had many game cam pics of him, but he was completely nocturnal. I put it on a couple scent wicks, and he walked right to one of t hem about 10 minutes before dark. Stuck his nose right on it, and I dropped the hammer on him

I would make scent trails and try to lead them to a good shooting area. If I could not get them to move where I needed I would lightly scent a spot during the day only. That way the scent was strongest during hunting hours when I wanted them there, lol.I make scent wicks with cotton balls and film canisters and I have had hogs stay in a area even when I spooked them going in.
