Probably the same place. 😆 I see lots of deer but I can't shoot them.

John do you think that it was the shot or that she got pushed a little early just curious because most of the hogs or game we loose is because they get pushed to soon. I am not busting your chops I am just thinking it over. I read this last night and have thought about it all day it stuck on me. That 1/4 away shot is hard to beat.

I waited 30 or so min's before tracking. When I found her she was at the farthest point on the property from where I shot her (from the front of it to the back). I think she ran the whole way without stopping. She was with the small hogs who probably were spooking her. It was about 2 hours after I shot, when I spotted her under the pepper trees. I am still at a loss about this. She bleed like crazy! But clotted up while laying under the tree. I went back out yesterday to see if there was any buzzards and their was none. I can still see the shot in my mind and it was a great shot, a little high but 2 inches behind her shoulder, mid shoulder, shooting at ground level. I don't get it. I put the cam back out there so maybe I will see if she is still alive. Here is a picture of the shot, red is where I shot. Green is probably where I should have shot. she was quartered away a little more then this but you get the point.

They really are tuff critters that's for sure we caught one two years ago with the dogs and it had a 125 muzzy with about three inches of arrow still left in the liver. the hide had healed up to where you couldn't see where it entered and the liver had healed up around it. It's crazy, good luck with the ole girl.

of shape are your broadheads in. Clotting occurs faster from duller broadheads and the thick hide and hair on a hog doesnt help. check your blades before each hunt and replace or sharpen if needed
