We took a trip over to Lochlossa to see how it fared after the fire. Looked over some of my favorite places, some are toast some aren't. The hogs are a bit stirred up some I am sure have moved into other males territory's. This nice looking European type boar showed himself on a fire break, and just took a moment too long to decide if I was a threat or not. He should have run! I hit him with a slug from 25yards.
This was the first hog I've dropped with a well developed shield. It's interesting to see what the slug did. I've harvested a couple hogs with old buck shot in them,and feel slugs are the way to go.
