Nah man I just had a rough day! Shooting your dog of 9 years will do that. 🙁 But next year I won't need anyone to watch my dogs.
Hey john.. I told them that when they told me that you took a walk in the woods with your dog and just you came back.. I dont think i could do that and keep my composure. But that was something that was in the works man.. It was just a big inconvenience all the time. and you couldn't give it to anyone so that was the only way.
That and she had gotten very sick. She was scratching herself all over till she bleed, and had lost a good 10 pounds in the last few weeks. I tried bathing her with special shampoos and giving her medicine. Yesterday when I woke up her ear was swollen to about 1.5-2" thick :eek and was obviously bothering her.
For the people who don't know the dog she was basically a guard and did a great job at it. She kept my house from being robbed by crack heads on a few occasions. :clap But she had also bitten a few people (not bad) over the years she shouldn't have bit. In the last few months if I even tried to discipline her she would snap at me. I knew it was only a matter of time before I had to move and finding a house to rent with a vicious dog was going to be very hard to say the least. I was going to keep her as long as I could but once she got ill I decided she had to be put down. Keeping her around wasn't worth the risk of her biting another person. She will be missed by me. And gladly forgotten by most of my friends and family.
Went out back yesterday to look around and saw fresh rooting under the feeder (I placed the feeder over were I buried my dog ). After cutting some of the grass I also found a 10x10 area in the yard that was freshly tour up. We cleaned the fridge out and threw a bunch of fruit, old pork roast from one of their siblings, and some scalloped potatoes out in the yard. This morning I went and checked and it was all gone. :rock_on but a huge turd was replaced in it's spot. :eek Looks like a large hog or an elephant may have roamed into the area. It's game on once again! :rockon
