Man I'd keep it cool with the blood and gore around the public.Scenes like that are just asking for a news crew and a big anti-hunting story.
Trust me I try to do all the bloody stuff out of sight. This was totally unexpected. With them causing thousands of dollars in damage in this area and causing a public safety issue most every resident I have ran into is very glad to see me there. Unfortunately their is just about no area of this subdivision that is out of sight from everyone.
On anouter note, I did see the larger momma pig this evening at 20 yards but had a small brier plant in between the two of us so I chose not to shoot. Tomorrow I'll be setting up a tree stand on the neighbors property and I also set another trap on her land. She was way cool about all of this. :rockon
Never soft my friend,and definitly not pointing any fingers at you John. I just know how people are and it only takes one to spoil all the fun. I tried bow hunting behind my house a few times and I was so paranoid if I shot a deer it would run and die in a nieghbors yard. I'm just saying be careful and respectful of others and I know you are John. Other than that I hope you take out the entire herd.
The pocket pig I shot on Friday lives on. I tracked him for a far distance till the blood ended. :no I did end up finding the large thick sow I have pic's of. She was shot and DOA. Guess someone sniper shot her from their condo window and left her. :censored Well heres the little pig who is tough as nails. (the darker of the two spotted ones) The last pic you can see the entrance wound pretty clearly. Just below the spins and just above the vitals.
Wow! What are the chances?? You slid that arrow just through wrong (right spot for the hog) spot.
My guess is if you don't get him, he'll probably die of infection.
