I think I could make a trip in a week or so.
why make a trip to get meat.. just go harvest a hog and put the meat in your freezer.
I get one more week in the unit I hunt than it closes. All the others that are within 3 hours of me are only open on the weekends. I work every weekend. You guys that are near units that are open 7 day's a week or have private property are lucky. And whats so wrong in putting some hogs to good use. How many times have we heard of farmers/ranchers that have shot and dumped hogs because they do not want them.
