So my son has been pestering me to take him hunting for a couple years but I wasn't sure if he was ready, and his worrywart mom didn't want him in the woods...
Well, between my upcoming divorce making me not care what she wanted and me still being in limbo wondering what's going on with my biopsy, I decided there's no better time than the present...
I didn't want to walk a WMA for 12 hours and MAYBE see a pig, but I know a guy with dogs and land so we went.
In the end the screaming hog kinda scared him away and he couldn't finish it off but he followed that pig into the palmettos like a trooper, and gave it his best shot.
152# sow with just over 1" teeth, he's hooked and I couldn't be happier!
Man this is wicked :clap ....yours is the second story I read to-nite about a son and dad bonding. You guys can sure get them out young, we can't take our kids with us during an active season until they turn 14 years old and they cannot legally carry a rifle until age 16 as long as they have a trained person over the age of 19 with them. That sure looks like a mighty nice hog...congrats to the young fellow..that smile from ear to ear says it all...great story :rock_on .
This was one for the kids today. :rockon :rockon :rockon
Another fine job,man I love seeing these kids getting out there and hunting. We really need to have a youth deer season here in Fl,it's time.
congrats.... good job.
