hog hunting rules

Im unclear by reading the regs on hog hunting i do understand its open all year but is that only archery or firearms as well , im just getting into hunting in fla would love to go hoggin but not clear any help would be appreciated .Thanx in advance. Andy

It is open year round on PRIVATE land, not public. You can use whatever weapon you choose

so the reg archery and general gun rules apply like in the booklet

On state land, you can shoot piggies (on most WMAs) during archery, muzzleload, general gun and in some of them, small game season (just no centerfire rifles in Small Game).

Wild hogs are the property of whoever's land they are on. If they are on state land or WMA's they are considered a game animal,private they are considered livestock or a nuisance animal.
