you can wisper to them boas all you want try wispering to a pissed off cotton mouth
+1
No thanks, haha. I do have some self-preservation in mind, and was totally joking. That is actually a Green Tree Python, and these guys have one of the highest teeth:head ratios aside from a few nonvenomous and the venomous species, but it's still not a hot.
I do my best to avoid snakes when I'm in the woods....when I do come across them, I don't kill them. Don't really see any benefit in blasting them and wanton waste of animals never benefits the ecosystem. Given they could potentially hurt someone, but statistically speaking, there just aren't nearly enough injuries or deaths to venomous snakes to warrant whacking them. Now if we are talking one of the nonnative snakes that are living in the 'Glades, then they are fair game too.
I've been around cottonmouths plenty, and yeah, they are more aggressive...and I'm not saying I've not killed them....just try to avoid it when I can. Damn near any animal gets uppity and starts coming at me is gonna eat lead...lol
ill give ya a tip look for orange groves and such find the owner and ask them nicely if you can hunt on there land,7 out of 10 times they will let ya hunt.
tips 1 go to google earth and look up said field see how close other houses are use the ruler function on there if i remember its ... 50 yards? correct me if im wrong? i like 75 to 100 with guns your using a bow so y a really don't have to worry.
look around the field for rooting, prints, scrapes leaking sprinklers that could be a water source, dung
p.s if ya want brownie points bring a trashbag or 2 and pick up trash
sorry to kill the whole snake bite thing.... :pinch
Chill
I like what you say and am sending a Pm also, its funny how Hogs are such a wanted animal to hunt
and such a Nuisance to land owners,But if this state doesn't wake up to the Birthing Numbers of these critters
Florida may Join Texas and end up in Chopper kills
Think of Mouse town getting on the Chopper rides but in the year 2015 you get to carry an AR and a few tins of ammo
Not a bad tourist attraction
Hee Haw
I want year long hunt rights on WMA Limited of sorts but 12 months of it
Thats my story and I'm Sticking 2 it
