Hello all. I have been interested in hunting hogs but am not sure where to go. I live in Valrico. I was wondering if there are any public places to hunt in the area. If not where would be the closest place to hunt them? Thanks.
The closest WMAs are Upper Hillsborough, Green Swamp and Croom. There are lots of hogs in Up H. and GS. Never hunted Croom for hogs and the times I squirrel hunted there never seen any sign so I can't tell you.
You have one more weekend of small game hunting in Upper Hills and 2 at GS.
Thanks for the info. I do have a question. I went to the WMA website and read something that I was not sure about. It gave all the different seasons but then said that hogs could be taken year round. Can you hunt with a bow during all seasons?

Hogs can be hunted year round on private proprety only,WMA's each have their own rules,but I do believe you can hunt them with a bow anytime they are open.
