Great, now your boys have a taste for blood and killing animals. Next thing you know they'll get into their teens and not have any interest in drugs or gangs, probably do stuff like play baseball and other sports. Then they'll grow up and get jobs and probably be productive members of society. How can you do that to your kids? :rockon

you and others have described going to the heart to kill them with a knife. some Cubans I know that raise hogs go to the brain/base of the neck, and they say it drops em in place with no squealing or struggling, just nerve mvt's. never got them to show me how and was wondering if you knew this technique and opinion on it. I've been around farms when they kill hogs with a pistol and the first one goes well but the next few are squealing an ungodly loud sound that makes the hair on your neck stand up
Never tried that way,I've heard people doing things different but most I know just sick the heart. You really can't shoot them when a dog has hold of them. I honestly don't think there's any perfect way to kill an animal. Killing is an ugly business,wolves will start eating before the animal is dead,fish swallow their prey alive. I'm not really bothered by the squealing,I try to get the killing over as quick as possible. But many times I've held my foot on a deer or hogs neck waiting for it to die if I had to cut it's throat to finish them off.
