Well we had our hunt at Chappys this morning. My wife and I were in the stand by 5:45 over a feeder. Had the first hog walk out from behind us at about 7:10. Took a shot with the bow and grazed it right over the top of his neck. Only had one other hog come out and it was pretty much right underneath us in the palmettos the whole time so never got a shot. A little while after the second hog we had 4 does and 2 fawns walk in and eat at the feeder til about 8. They picked us up at about 8:15 and we climbed in the buggies, and I put the bow down and picked up my 30-30. Took us about 15-20 minutes with the dogs to get on a big boar, and one of the other guys took him. Took another 30 minutes to jump a big brown one, and while chasing down the dogs we jumped up two of the biggest hogs I have ever seen. We spent the next hour with the dogs just trying to find one of them. It took probably about another 40 minutes before we could hear the dogs going crazy and it was on. The dogs had him bayed in some thick thick brush, and he got out once and ran about 200 yards, so after sprinting to the new spot where the dogs got him again I got a shot and he was mine. It was a long morning, but well worth it, and my wife has already put her claim on one of the big ones we jumped up earlier for next time.
I would definately recommend this place to anyone looking for a good hunt. They are very professional and make it clear right away that its all about us and help us out however they can. Already looking into scheduling my next trip to bring the kids to ride in the buggie.
