I was thinking about this place for you guys who need a place to hunt hogs. I hunted there in 99 and it has more pork than anywhereI've been.The place needs to be called boar and boar,I believe it's a still hunt club now but use to have a dog area.It's always listed in woods/water.
We called and left 4 messages with the guy who is the president over a period of 4 weeks. Last message my buddy left was that he was obviously not needing members that bad since he would not call back.
I heard some good ole boy stories about that place too
Isn't Buck and Boar up in Madison County? I hunted some private land with a buddy of mine up there, and there were a couple signs for hunt clubs...I know one was "Big Horn Hunt Club" and I think the other one was Buck and Boar...The Big Horn guys run a lot of dogs at the deer, and were complaining about the hogs. There is some thick and nasty swamp up there, if it's what I'm thinking.
It runs from Taylor into Madison
Yeah that's the one. TONS of hogs up there. We shot one and ran the dogs on a bunch of them when we were up there. It rained 8 inches the first day we got there, so the dogs had a really tough time chasing em through the swamp.
When you see those reallllllllly tall pine trees up there, it's cause the swamp is just too effing deep for ANYTHING to get back there.
Loads of deer up there too, I only hunted it one, crappy, raining weekend, but we saw a whole bunch of does and some smaller bucks....there are some biggun's on the trailcams.
There is a HUGE bear up there too....he stands about 6.5-7 ft. The feeder has 12" intervals marked on it, and the trail cam caught a pic of the bear standing up and trying to look into the feeder.
