skunk ape' I have never run hogs with dogs, would one that big fight them dogs or just kinda lay down. my buddy does runs them with dogs and hates the little ones, 150 lbs - 180 lbs. calls 'em dog killers.

Kemster, dogs bring it to a whole new level. It all depends on how rough the dog is. A good bay dog stays back and out of the way, catch dogs are always getting cut. I had one hound who got cut so much I finally gave her away, she'd get on a bay and then start fighting the hog. I got sick of stapleing her up all the time, and not having her in the woods. Last season I got a good boar about 180 with some dog killin' teeth. The dog that had it bayed was inches from it's face and the hog just stood there till I shot it.It depends on the hog,I here a lot of horror stories when dogs find big bar hogs.Them hogs know what dogs are and hate them.
