Ammo choice for hog hunting with .223?

Here are some stats, I have been loading 150 gr hornady sp at 17 gr of H110 powder it looks good to me http://www.beyond556.com/bboard/showthread.php?5256-reloading-300AAC-blackout

Well got to the range and wanted to see the penatration of my 300 Blackout with the 150 gr soft point with 17 gr of H110,at 50 yards, at 4 inches of soft cover books, first pic shows the entrance hole you can see it to the left of the "F" in the word "For" then pic number 2 you can see the exit hole

I think this will work for a Hog or a Deer at 50 yards RIGHT?

Helped a lot and learned a lot for sure.

I think I'm going to try for some different brands of SP and HP bullets to see which I get the best result

What type of fixed platform/location are you shooting from in the open?

Do you mean when I'm hunting or when I go to the range and shoot?

When I go hunting, my hunting method is usually walking around and shoot whatever pig that I see.

When I go to the range, I do bench shooting with rifle rest and stuff to sight it in first and then do variety of stuffs with it.
