So I can post an attachment via my phone (thru tapatalk), but cannot upload a picture thru the computer via the attachment uploader

Why not just use photobucket? It works on pretty much 99% of websites and you have all your pics backed up so when you drop your phone in the water you dont lose all your pics or when you harddrive crashes on your computer you still have the pics you loaded safe online. With photobucket you get 10gb for free and for most people that is more than enough for the amount that they share on the web. it also has photo editing software that you get to use for free build right into the web site and app for your phone.
