I drew tags for Washington County (north of Panama City) and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or knew where any gators were. I just moved here after spending the previous year in Afghanistan and was lucky enough to draw a tag. I have been looking around and have a few ideas but am always looking for inside tips. 🙂 Thanks all and Happy Hunting!!

I'd like to hear about you killing some more Taliban bastards. I don't think the gators would eat those stinky SOB's.

Well, they usually are found around water, like lakes, ponds and slow moving rivers... :smartass

South end of the county below Vernon, between Hwy 77 and Hwy 79 are several small lakes that used to be publicly accessible (don't know if they still are). Went fishing on a few of them back in the mid-90s when I lived in Ft Walton Beach. Saw a few gators, but can't say which lake was which as I was with a guy from church who grew up in Vernon and knew where to go.

You also have the Choctawhatchee River on the west side of the county.

Get out and do some scouting at night with a spotlight, you'll find 'em.
