We had another awesome successful gator hunt we had 2 down and out in about 4 hours. The first one was the smaller one. First time gator hunter I had with me and wanted to kill one. He was close to 8' Fun hunt. the big one 9 and a half and very healthy and was pissed. We got him in about 3' of water and when we hit him with the harpoon he death rolled and in all of the confusion he disapperared. Left me scratching my head. He had rolled all the line up around him somehow driving the harpoon in the mud thats 10' deep and broke it. We kept searching and he popped his head up about 20 feet from us. We got to him and realized he was all tangled in the line and anchored to the lake bottom by the broke harpoon handle. We finally got him untangled enough to get another harpoon in him to get some control. He was head up biting every thing we got near him (push pole harpoon every thing). Then Bang another one bites the dust. I hope every one else has a successful season. Good Luck out there.
