steinhachee springs.
Looks kinda like Steinhatchee Falls, but I haven't been there in 20 years.
bingo 😀 😀 😀 😀
i got it first.. thats messed up..
When I was stationed up in Valdosta, GA a guy I worked with was from Cross City just south of there. Six of us rented 3 canoes from MWR on base and drove down there and paddled from where Hwy 98 crosses the Steinhatchee River down to Steinhatchee, and camped overnight on a small island where the river emptied into the Gulf. We caught some nice trout and sheepshead for dinner and the next day caught some reds and black drum fishing rocky areas around the marshes.
That island has a new observation tower and boardwalk on it now. You can only get to it by boat. The sand gnats will tote you off at times though. The redfish and all around flats fishing is second to none there. I have a place in town that we have had since I was a kid. It is like my home away from home
