I have to go over to West Palm Beach Saturday to fix my daughter's car. Hopefully it's just the alternator, maybe a serpentine belt, but who knows. Idiots at Advanced Auto Parts told her one thing, some mobile mechanic guy told her another, and neither one makes sense based on what she's describing! She's out of town for the weekend, leaving the car in her garage for me to come over and fix. If it's simple (swap alternator and belt), I hope to be done by noon. Then I have to meet up with a friend in Delray Beach who finally got a guy who owes us some money to pay up.

Now if I get the car fixed, and get my money, and it's only midday or early afternoon, what is going on over that way that might interest me? I'm making the 3 hour drive over there, might as well make the most of it!

I'm thinking about it. Not sure if I want to load up the canoe and fish around the Big O, or just hit some of the spillways and canals from the bank. Haven't done that in a LOOOONG time and not sure how accessible those places are anymore. I plan to take my shotgun, too and check out that C-24 place mentioned in another thread. Might get me a few bunnies in the evening, or if a hog pops out I might take him down!

If ur gonna be in Delray Beach, you can just skip up the road to Boynton and fish the inlet. Always sumpin there worth catchin. If you can get some pilchards or use frozen finger mullet, the ladyfish and snook and tarpon are always fun. Live crab for permit too. Best fishin there is either inside the inlet on south side, or north side off the jetty.

Or, you could always have some real fun and go to the Albertsons parking lot and switch a bunch of them antenna toppers around to different cars. Them old geezers will be roaming the parking lot confused for hours.
