Been there done that at Drum and lived in "Upstate Western NY" until I was 18. COLD COLD COLD, but after being all around the world, I sure miss the hunting, fishing and outdoors. Been taking two trips a year to my property in Upstate and think I am going to have to start going more often... Guess I need to take Nacho on a Grouse hunt...
I'd love it. first animal I ever hunted, kinda bring things full circle. however I always wanted to do a mule drawn quail hunt but 350$ for a 1/2 day is too rich for my blood. quail and woodcock are good flyers but grouse I'd have to give the best flyers award, from the ground to top speed weaving through dense braches in a second or 2 tops is amazing, not to mention scaring the crap out of you during the flush and they are a decent size and taste good.
N.Y. is a big state from atlantic ocean,great fresh and saltwater fishing, great oysters,clams,muscles,lobster, Catskill and Adirondac mountains and gorgeous fingerlakes areas, steelhead fishing, duck/goose, deer,grouse,pheasant,woodcock,quail,squirel,turkey going all the way to Canada. a shame so many think NY consists of manhattan only.
New York city and upstate differant as day and nite.get away from the big city areas and its a nice place,just cold as heck
I don't know about y'all but I get paranoid going into any city from St.Pete and Tampa to Atlanta,they're all filled with urban terrorists and ghetto trash waiting for the chance to jack your azz and kill you for some crack money. I myself cried my eyes out when our brothers and sisters died on 9-11,some of you need to realize who our real enemies are. I've been all ove the Eastern Seaboard into Canada,the Mid West,out to the Rocky's in Colorado and Wyoming not just for hunting but some wonderful educational and historic visits.Our country has some of the most beautful states and cities in the world,including New York.Take your blinders off fella's. BTW,as much of a Hank Jr and Sr. fan I've always been he is and was a drug addict and alcholic like his Daddy,I seen his boy on t.v. and think he need to get into a new line of work.

GET INTO A NEW LINE OF WORK!?!?! dude your crazy for even thinking that up. my first question is why? hes making more than we could ever dream of, and he can be considered one of the greatest country singers to this day (hank sr and jr). your gona get on him for drinking and smoking weed? ok i can bet you alll my money that everyone on this site has smoked weed before and probably has a beer in their hand while reading this. what i dont get is why if a "famous" person drinks or smokes it is such a big deal. i myself do not smoke weed but have tried it. justin moore drank a bottle of jack at his concert! and sang the entire concert with dip in his mouth haha. im pretty sure you and I would both get drunk before a concert in front of hundreds of people if we got the chance. you know how hard itd be to do sober? haha
