:eagle Army and Coast Guard, retired with 22 years. Went in due to the draft in 72, got out for 8 or so, then into the USCG for good. Participated in most of the conflicts since Nam in some capacity. 10% service connected with VA. Had good times and bad like most I suppose. :flageagle

my grandfather was a 3 war vet ww1,ww2, korea, still have his dogtag 1-simple piece of tin one side a thumbprint ,the other side Graf, Richard A 707-07-13 A usn. myself never served, got my draft card for nam but it was over before I was out of h.s., then too old for the sandbox. could've enlisted I suppose but was never any good at TAKING orders, glad to help if asked but don't try and tell me what I have to do. ( athority problems I guess). Scotty like they said in apocolypse now " never get off the boat". thank you all for your service. All gave some, some gave all.

nam 66-67 attached to whoever they wanted me to go with. mike's, arvn,sneaky pete's etc. Base was BIG RED 1... phouc vinh
