Thank you so much Duck, God bless you and stay safe.
i did some work at an old timers house last week who served as a pilot in ww2, korea and nam. his wife was one of the original female chopper pilots in nam. has some incredible stories and has written some books.
Man that would be some great stories. I could only imagine how they handled things differently with the amount of equip/technology we have today. A different world for sure.
Hey guys I appreciate the thanks. I was in no means trying to gain that by no means. I thank all the vets on here and was just curious to see the types of vets from different eras on here. I figured there would be some vets from Nam and Korea on here. We have Nam, Desert Storm/shield/oif. Hopefully through time we can see more from these guys. This is prolly far fetched as it was a long time ago, but it would be neat if we had a WW2 vet on here. We did on another forum and he had some great stories.
:saluting Oyster, Frank and the rest of the members
there are a BUNCH more vets that are a part of the forum. they will chime in.
Yeah man, there's quite a few on here. We're proud of all you boys.
I think we have all the services represented here, including the Coast Guard. Speaking of USCG, where is goodolboy? He hasn't been on much since he got hold of nacho's home squeezin's at Crock's party!
As a vet, I want to thank all the folks who support the military, especially during times like these when so many are deployed in harm's way. It's the folks back home that make everything they do worthwhile and necessary. The best of America wears the uniforms and does the hard jobs, the rest of America benefits.
