Well this morning I decided to go turkey hunting with a Cannon. I really don't like eating turkey but love to turkey hunt. I've got into going and just taking pictures of the turkeys when I call them in. It is almost as challenging as turkey hunting with a bow. The up side is there is no limit and I can corn em up... (hehehe) This morning I went to this spot that I knew there was turkeys in the area. I sat up in an area where I had killed birds before, and knew that I'd have a good chance of hearing one gobble. Sure enough day light came and one fired off about 75 yards from me. At this point I'm thinking this is going to be too easy. As light began to break I started hearing hens yelp. Now I'm thinking great he's hened up sure enough. As they piched out I could see that he had 5 hens with him. I spent 2 hours working this bird back and forth and he never got in a wide open area. He came in gun shot 3 times but I couldn't get a good picture of him. I'm off work for two weeks so I hope that I get better pictures. It looked to me like he had a 10" beard.
