I like beer as much or better than the next bloke. Gotta tell you, I am Irish and think Guinness is disgusting. I prefer German beers, lager's and micro-brews

Guinness is disgusting.

I believe Guiness is the only beer I have ever drank that tastes better warm than cold. How is that possible?

I was in Ireland in April and tried it. TERRIBLE, unless u like stout. tried a few while there in different pubs. Never cared for it but ya' gotta' keep trying new things. If you like stout, I guess it is good. Most of the locals were drinking the thick draft stuff with a creamy top. And yes, it will kick ur a..!!

Not sure why you'd keep trying a stout if you didn't like them but at least you tried...LOL!

As far as Guiness goes, I freely admit the I cut my teeth on stouts with it and it is good but it's not the holy grail so many folks make it out to be. I still occasionally (sp) by a few but I have other Irish stouts I prefer much more. BEAMISH is my favorite with MURPHY'S a close second.

If you want to talk all time best stouts of any kind.... SAMUEL SMITH'S OATMEAL STOUT is the HOLY M'therF'ing GRAIL!!!!!! If I could bath in it I would because it has to be a miracle in bottle it's so dang good! :toast

Tried these this evening....

First up- From Tampa, right next door to my hometown of Plant City we have this:

Pretty tasty IPA. Nothing spectacular but nothing at all wrong either. Pretty good. I could get tore up on these....

Next up- From some where up north (I'll give the yankees credit, they make some good beer) we have this:

I've had it before along time ago and liked it so it's not really new for me...but it was just as great as the last time I remember it. If you like IPA's this one's worth a try for sure.

Then this as an after dinner dessert-

Typical Porter. Again like the Jai Lai it's not wonderful but pretty solid and pretty good overall.
