just think of all the time you'll have to be on line with us. lucky lacy. just take it slow and easy. inch by inch is a cinch, yard by yard is hard.

did your dr tell you to keep it clean/dry and covered with a dressing? or is he/she letting you leave it ota (open to air and shower if desired. my nursing background is in ortho and I usualy tell people to keep it dry and covered until the staples come out in 10-14 days, especialy if there is any drainage. take your temp a few times a day and report any temp over 101 immed to dr, or if theres any throbbing at incision with thick foul smelling drainage. trust your instincts and intuition, they are allways correct. if you think something is wrong act immediately, don't put if off or ignore it, infection can go bad to worse real fast.don't mean to scare you. that incision ( from the photo looks pretty good. remember don't overdo it too soon . don't work up a sweat, no lifting,bending stretching too far. are you getting a home nurse or physical therapy? at your age that incision should heal in three weeks app.DO NOT touch/or scratch the incision line. any ?'s please feel free to pm me. get well soon, best wishes N.G./Dave
