Teach your kids their heritage.

So my son is allways eating pizza.. thats good. But today he comes in and i ask him "devin do you know how REAL pizza is made and where it comes from origionally?" he says no its in the frezer. I say no son just incase you didnt know your half italian. I know mommy only teaches you the spanish part of your heritage but its time i teach you where your grandmother, and great grandmother and so on come from. I asked him "are you ready to see how pizza is made?" he says yes daddy im hungry lets go!

So i put him in the pickup and put on some italian music (he wasnt happy about that) but he needs to learn that hes also italian . SO i drive him to a REAL italian pizza parlor. He goes in and sees all the big pizzas! He orders 2 big nice real slices. Before we sit down he sees one guy making boxes for the pizzas. He asks the guy "can i help" and he helps make some pizza boxes.

Just incase if your wondering i never order pizza cause my wife dont eat pizza. Can you believe that.. she dont like it.. i think shes allergic to the yeast that they use to raise the bread.. she gets an allergic reaction when she eats it. ANYWAY.

So we sit down i get an anti pasta and a slice.. My son gets 2 regular slices and is like DADDY this is good!!.. Im like "yea son this is REAL pizza". He says Dad can i see how its made. Now if you go to a real pizza place they make the pizza right in front of you. So i ask the guy (italian right from the old country) "can you show my son how to make a pizza?" He says Sure come around and ill show you.

My son watched and was so happy to see where his favorite food comes from and how its made. I was so happy to show my son part of my heritage that he never gets to see or hear about.
