SD cards?

Ok this has come up everytime I try to read my SD card from deer cam,says need to format...!We have never had this happen before and I dont want to lose any pic's.Can you tell me why this has happened please.

stick it in any digital camera and you can find a format feature there.. do it there.. some ams give you the option to format card directly from the cam tho also.

why did it all of a sudden start doing this any ideas,bad cards maybe?

How are you trying to read the card? In a card slot on a laptop? Thru an adaptor plugged into a USB Port? Thru the card slot ona printer? Thru a cable connected to the camera? Try a different method, or a different computer. If it will let you, cancel the format and read the card directly in windows explorer.
