Honestly, Tractor Supply in these areas should be scared right now. Rural King will KILL any Tractor Supply in my opinion.

went back at 7am today and got 2 #500 bricks of rem golden 22lr for under 39.90 each. and a lodge 17" cast iron skillet. it's awesome & can go from stovetop to oven. this is kinda just a "soft opening", the grand opening is 9/1 and they should have guns then. it'll be nice to see them bury SOME of the gouging competition (Crowders hardware), and ammo scalpers.

$39.90 for 500 rounds? If so is that the going price now?

I bought 15 525 round bricks from Bass pro a month or so ago for $23 each. They said they get it in all the time, But you have to be there early. The old retired guys get there and buy it all up to resell, They call them the breakfast club. I think they have a limit now.

I sold a few of them at my cost to my friends that were out. The rest I am keeping..

Back on topic... This store seems sweet and we need one here in the Jax area.. I may ride the bike that way one day and check it out. That will also keep me from buying anything big.. Hard to bring a gun back on a busa.... :scooter

39.99$ a brick of 500! Yeah I think that's pretty much what it's gonna end up and that is the absolute maximum I'm willing to pay. hope I'm wrong. it's a lot better than the 80-100$ for the same brick those guys bought at the store you mentioned, that turn around and re-sell them at gun shows, flea markets and on line. letting early birds buy 15 bricks , or no limit promotes the scalpers and hoarders imo and is not fair to others when they sell out like that in 15 minutes. give others a chance. as long as there is a shortage, I believe there should be REASONABLE limits. I shoot a fair amount and 1,000 rounds a time is fine with me. would I be happier with a better price, for sure.

dang it I just passed through there and must have missed it.

Doghunter, if you life in Perry, just go to Big bend Outfitters they have all the ammo you need at similar prices. Most of his stuff is cheaper then at the Perry Walmart, plus you support a local business.
