Eastern Diamondback rattler. Seen it up in Croom WMA on sunday. 1st time in Croom pretty nice kinda reminds me of Ocala. But it seems more for offroad vechicles.

Healthy rattler...

I have hunted Croom for a long time and killed a bunch of deer in there. It is what we call a 'romp and stomp' WMA as it is very crowded, due to the fact that it is close to Tampa

You can kill some deer but it takes a lot of homework to figure out how to pattern the people and figure out where the deer are going to go when they get pressured.
I quit hunting there due to all the people and all the non-hunting activities they allow in there. Just not worth it to me.
Between the hikers, joggers, bird watchers, nature trails, horses, and motorcross events, bicyclists it is best I stay away

Dont let what I said stop you from enjoying the place, though. I just can't stand to be crowded

Yea I dont plan on hunting there, just had never been there. But yea I saw what you mean by all the bikers and other people, I can only imagine in the cooler months what its like. Its alot different habitat than Im used to seemed hilly and alot of pines, oaks, and scrub. Im used to Green swamp type habitat. How is CITRUS WMA? Ive only hunted GS and richloam, but I dont like richloam, b.c I stillhunt only.

Citrus looks a lot like Croom. It follows that same jack oak scrub line(if you look at an arial map).
Citrus has a doe/buck ratio problem. You can go there and average seeing about 15-20 does a day and rarely a buck. There are some good ones in there, though. a friend of a friend killed a registry 9Pt last year. They don't issue any doe tags in there and I don't know why. I could fill a doe tag in 10 minutes there

There are some hogs too, but concentrated in one spot of the WMA
