So apparently I have been told that I am taking the family and some other friends to Rainbow river to go tubing tomorrow. I have not been there in many, many years. Can anyone give me the low down on the place? Places to go? Places to avoid? Where to rent tubes?

I was there not to long ago. Get there early or you won't be able to park or get any tubes. There are a few place around that drop off and have tubes. We went once and had to turn around and come back home,next time we were early. Now I just go to Itchetuckney and camp. I wouldn't mind heading there again soon.
we used to go to the kp hole to rent tubes but it's been about 20 years since I've been there.
We usually go to Ichetucknee also, but we go when we are up at Steinhatchee. Its only an hour from there. They been begging to go so we are gonna give it a shot
I haven't been in years, I am not fond of watching the water life beneath me. We saw a lizard last time swimming on the bottom, wasn't bothering no one except me. as I was struggling to stay in the middle of my tube. my kids thought I was just being funny.
