Just got a propane conversion kit for my generator.Cost about 225.00 for the kit plus tanks. Installed it today. Took about 1 hr. But it started right up and worked great.Don't have to worry about gas messing up the carb or the gas going bad. I'm happy. My generator is 5600-8600 and the 20lb tank should last 8 hrs at 50% load.I got the conversion from propanecarbs.com.It was the only place I could find for the generator I have.

So a 20 lb tank in 8 hours? Is that cheaper then using gas based on the price of filling propane to gas?

Motor lasts longer.Propane doesn't go bad. I think its about the same amount of time.

It started right up and with a little adjustment it was running great.
