My dad is undergoing laproscopic surgery today to figure out what is blocking up a spot in his small intestine. He started throwing up and feeling really bad early Thanksgiving morning and missed our family get-together, then had to go to the hospital that night due to the pain. They discovered the blockage with a CAT scan, and gave him some meds for pain and to reduce the bloating, and he went home last night. But they figured he'd need to go back to fix the problem, so that's what they're doing today. Please keep him in your prayers.
GoodOyster, God bless your Dad and the medical folks that are working with him. Praying for a quick recovery. Treefarmer
Get better Mr. Goodoyster, Sr....The fish are biting.

He had just got been up to hunting camp in GA last weekend and got home Tuesday. Was actually probably feeling a little under the weather then according to his wife. We were supposed to go up there in two weeks and hunt with my brother and my son who were going to come down from VA together. Now we're just hoping Dad will get all fixed up and not be down for long, and be able to get some more hunting in. I think he's already got two deer in the freezer, though.
I'll be praying for your Dad!
Ironically, I had the same Monday morning! Turned out to be diverticulitis for me. Got some antispasmodics and antibiotics and a couple of days rest. I was ready for Thanksgiving Day, no problem.
