I was looking at Craigs list this morning in the Farm and Garden section and found a request for deer meat for a women's son who has an eating disorder....Here is the text below.
I am a mother of 1 and my son has a rare immune disorder and can not eat beef,he has to live off of pork and chicken but would like to put him on some other kind of protien,(he needs the protien)and his doctor said put him on deer meat, if anyone has a extra deer they would want to sell I would be more then willing to purhase it from you.IT dont have to be cut and wrapped I can get a friend to do it for me.OR if yo have any left over from last year and just want to stock up with fresh I would be more then happy to take it.I moved down from Georgia a year ago and dont see many deer down here and I cant hunt...and I am hoping someone out there can help me and my son.....
Since I did not shoot a deer this year, I emailed her the information for Hunters for the hungry and then I was thinking of what else I could do so I thought I would post this here...It never hurts to try to help.

This year may be a hard year for donated deer meat because of the economy.I helped out at a friends check station and out of over 500 deer checked in only 9 were donated unlike over 100 in other years.
I do hope some of our fellow hunters may have a few pounds extra to help out this year to donate for the hungry.
Dave if you can deliver it iwill bring it with me when I bring the six point to you.

Sounds good to me...This girl sounds like she can use all the help she can get feeding this little boy. When did you want to get together....Thursday or Friday works for me...let me know....
