The thing I like about outlaw country is they play a lot of stuff from no-name guys that will never be on the radio mainstream, out of Austin, Texas. That is where real country music comes from nowadays, not Nashville and their urban pop crap toilet bowl so-called country
I know. I spent 3 months in San Angelo for a school. Every night of which was at a KICK ASS HONKY TONK called the Party Ranch. There was more great bands there that nobody will ever hear of but MY GOD could they play and fill the house! The funnest 3 months of my life, that for sure! And they had 32 oz Keystone Light for $1.25!!! That was just few years ago! It was a blur but the music was great!!
