D.H. if I looked that sickly, I'd be dancing with chippendales. right now at 265 and carpal tunnel I keep falling off the stripper pole.

the word DIET con-notates that you are depriving yourself of something, not really the way you want to live the rest of your life. I've been on many diets over the years losing from 20-75 lbs. the longest my willpower lasted was 6-8 months. but the problem is when you stop it all comes back + 10-20%, my experience anyway. but congrats to you and keep up the good work.

Tomorrow I start my new "lifestyle" (i also agree with nacho's remarks regarding "diet").

7am appointment at the doctor to get a checkup, which I haven't had since high school (graduated in 1996...you do the math).

I'm 5' 10", 253 lbs and probably 35-40% body fat. I'm a stocky build, so at 10% body fat I'd probably weigh approx 175 lbs.

So I've got 70-80 lbs to lose. If I can AVERAGE 1 lb a week for the next year and a half, i'll be happy.

At the dr appointment tomorrow they'll check my cholesterol, blood pressure, heart rate...etc.

I'll take measurements and post up all the "before" measurements and numbers.

I'm only 33 yrs old, so I shouldn't be so fat....now is the time to change!
